Original Zendikar was quite the exciting place for, at the time, finally managed the sweet spot between the power fantasy that makes Magic and the intuitive excitement of gathering a crew to meet new dangerous landscapes. Only for the landscapes to actually contain these eldritch monsters that we decided an entire battlecruiser set to, then two more sets to clean them off in a way that detract from what the first half fun. But well, we’ve cleaned them up, we can finally go back to the intuitive excitement right?
