It’s too easy to hate this set, it has everything we’ve just proven don’t make for a good Magic set: Superhero characters dressed as an animal repeated ad nauseum, mundane setting too close to our reality, heavy emphasis on humour, set size not being enough for a proper draft, coming way too soon after the in universe people actually likes (this time to the level of being erroneously snuck into that set’s prerelease boxes), the people from the company and the toxic positists sounding really excited and you just don’t get it.
It takes a certain kind of person to write that introduction paragraph. This kind of person will need a lot to be proven otherwise, if all the “look, this set actually pays better homage to the source material than… also there are serious moment to your liking” is anything to wonder.
